Indoor Receiving Line

My wedding is at the end of November in the evening. My receiving line will be inside. Any ideas on what I can use instead of bubbles, bird seed etc? I had though about pom poms but Im not sure this is the best idea

Re: Indoor Receiving Line

  • You don't need things to throw during the receiving line.  You just stand in a line (maybe with your parents) and hug people and maybe give them a favour.  It's usually done immediately following your recessional from the ceremony and/or or on the way into the reception.
  • I understand what a receiving line is. Where Im from the Receiving line and grand entrance go hand in hand. the bridesmaids stand at the end of the receiving line and hand things out to toss at the bride and groom. Favors are given at the reception.
  • One wedding I went to had tiny bells passed out to the guests along with the program so when the bridge and groom came down the aisle everyone rang their bell. (With 300+ guests, the little bells were plenty loud.)  Everyone can keep them (mini favour if you put a little tag with your names on it) and it doesn't make a mess in the church/venue.
