Wedding reception station ideas!

Hi all!

I am having a November wedding at a golf resort (Florida) and need your cool, awesome, fun, unique station ideas! Whether it be a drink station, a food station a dessert station, or a combination.

Additionally, for 100 people, I currently have cocktail hour with 4 passed hors d' oeu. , 4 stations, cake and candy bar. (open bar throughout) do you feel this is enough at 6pm? What would you add? I have my own opinions about this, but wanted everyone elses.

Thanks!

At a 6pm reception, I would want a full dinner, so as long as your stations are filling enough, that should be fine.  You might also see if you could add a stationary item to your cocktail hour, like veggies and dip or cheese and crackers.

I wanted to have a coffee bar where people could get fancy coffee drinks, but our venue doesn't have a cappucino machine and I'm not pursuing it.  I think it would be cool, though--people could get a flavored latte, or you could even have alcoholic options.

As for what kinds of food for the dinner stations...I think it really depends on what you and your FI like.  You should probably try to have the stations be distinct enough that people wouldn't feel like they needed to go to each one, at least not on the first pass through.  You could have a pasta station where people could choose type of pasta, add ins, and sauce, and its sauteed right there.  I love Thai food, so I might have a Thai food station with pad thai, curry, fresh rolls, etc. depending on what the caterer could do.

At other weddings, I have seen:

    Sliders Station

Pasta station (3 kinds of short pasta, 3 different sauces)

Mashed Potato Station (mashed potatoes served in martini glasses with mixins of sautted onionns, bacon, scallions, mushrooms, assorted cheeses)

    Sushi station

Mediteranean station (tabouleh, tzaziki, falafel, hummus, pita, baby spnikopita, greek salad mix ins)

    Ice cream sundae station

shortcake station (chocolate and vanilla shortcakes, peach blueberry and strawberry toppins, whipped cream, marscapone, and greek yogurt, mixed nuts)

I had a November hotel wedding at 7 and we had 6 appetizers, beef carving station,  fruit/cheese display, smoked salmon (MIL picked this--I wouldn't have) and a potato martini bar that I LOVED--it was my favorite thing of all.  Also open bar, wedding cake and candy buffet.

My boss had a sushi station with a chef at his wedding and it was awesome.  My favorite thing I've seen on my local board was a gelato cart.

Do a comfort food station... mac and cheese, pot pies, buns, french fries, mashed potatoes..
We are doing a fast food station late at night with sliders, mini tacos, mini donuts, fries and all that fun stuff!
