So I just completed my guest list. We are having150 people max, however we are inviting 160 to account for wash. Are any of you doing the same or only inviting the exact amount of people you want at the wedding?

They say you should expect 100% attendance. Never invite people that you can't afford to host. We're inviting 160 too. Will 160 actually come? Probably not, but you never know!

My plan is to invite only 5 over but I'm hoping that I go under my "budget" by 10 people. We're having max 85 people I'm hoping 75 show lol I feel so bad saying that but I feel like that's a lot already.

Even though we know about 10-15 people won't make it, we aren't inviting 'extras'. There's nobody else we really want to invite, plus you just never know about attendance.

We have to have a minimum guest list - 200 adults so we want to make sure we have atleast 200 people there without going over, but we would prefer to be over than under since we would still have to pay for those missing heads food etc so we are going to over invite. If anyone RSVP's yes then sure we will have plenty of room for them

We have a minimum of 80 so we're inviting 90. Our wedding is on a Sunday afternoon so we're expecting people to be a little iffy about coming. We can afford the 90 so it's really not a concern. I think the rule of thumb is to expect 15-20% to decline and plan for 3 more than what's RSVPd. Or at least thats what some blogger said.

I remember watching 4 weddings and they had all these empty seats because they over estimated how many would attend and the ballroom looks so empty! Go with your gut!

We're inviting 160. Technically the space can hold it, but we'd rather have 150. We're hoping a few (10-15 decline), but if they don't then we can afford everyone and will have room. My Fi and I kind of lost the guest list battle.

We are under 90. I honeslty don't know if anyone will decline. I'm expecting 100% attendance and am not giving any extra room for play.

Were at 250 right now. I think I'll scream if FI comes up with one more person that "should be on that list." Ack. We can hold up to 400, but I considering i wanted to elope, this is way too many people for me...

I made a full list, and next to it have a column, of the "probably will come" people. That list I'm hoping will hover around the 120-150, although I havn't gone through it with my FI's parents so its hard to tell so far. Some of the people on my list I know won't come, which is pushing the number of invites up.

We can have around 275 comofortably but will invite around 300-310. I already know some that won't be able to make it, but you have to invite anyway.

I sent out STD's for 168 people. I will not invite over 175. But I am expecting full attendance even though I defintley hope a bunch of people can't come (even though I love them I'd prefer to not have to pay for them haha) But if everyone comes we can afford it so it's ok.

We started with wanting 80 max then of course you figure out you have to invite this person than that person and now we are up to 115! We think at least a handful won't come but kind of hoping for a little more than that! We have to pay for 100 no matter what our place holds 200 max. We have some relatives in Italy that may come it seems like instead of cutting it down we just keep adding more! Hopefully the two we just added are it!!!!!!!!
