Croatian traditions anyone?

Hi there :) i'm marrying into a Croatian family...I know a few phrases of croatian that I was planning to use in our ceremony to surprise my fiance's grandparents, but I wanted to know if anyone has any croatian traditions they could share that would be a nice addition to our winter wedding? Any thoughts appreciated. X

    If you're christian, there's a beautiful tradition in Croatian weddings in which the couple have the priest bless a crucifix, and the B&G kiss the crucifix during the ceremony to represent how they are accepting their marriage as a cross of sorts (not in a bad way, but the point is that they are committing their lives to each other as a sacrifice, a cross they will carry in good times and in bad, for the rest of their lives)

    I was going to ask the EXACT same question. I am also marrying into a Croatian Family this coming spring and would like to include some traditions. We have been together for 6 years so I have been to a few Croatian family weddings. They have a traditional dance that they do - its called Kolo - maybe you can find a clip of it on YouTube. They pin a piece of rosemary on all the men to ward off bad sprits I believe? an OLD tradition is they use to pin money to the bride or paid to dance with her (no way pins are going in my wedding dress haha). The Groom also goes to the brides parents house ( or where she is getting ready) and sings outside with his grooman a traditional song - but I don't know what its called. I think that is all I could really find or saw - Please let me know if you have found anything else since it has been a month since you posted!!!! :)
