So I called to schedule my alterations appointment today. What should I expect?

a lot of Measuring tapes and  stick pins. lol

Its pretty simple.  Make sure that you bring your shoes or shoes with the same heel height and your undergarments. Its not that long of a process, if your not getting a lot done.

    What are you getting done.

Oh ok. I'm thinking I may have to have my dress let out to make room for baby. Also, I'm going to get the zipper removed and a corset back put in. I won't need to get it hemmed with my 4" wedges.

That will be fairly simple. They will take your measurements and send you on your way. With you worrying  the whole way home if they truly understood what you wanted. I always leave with a slight fear of them completely ruining my dress or the store burning down. At least until I see my dress again.LOL, I think Im going crazy with only 56 days to go.

LOL, I hope DB don't burn down with my dress in it. That would not be the business. I only have 63 days left and I'm starting to feel the pressure.

Let'sd pray DB doesn't burn dow then. LOL
But yes, don't forget your undergarments and your shoes and veil if you have it already...
You will also discuss whether you want a bussle or nor and/or what kind....

I forgot about my bussle. I definitely need one of those. I know I need to take my undergarments and shoes. I bought shaper yesterday to suck Peanut in lol. I'm not wearing a veil so I'm straight on that front. Thanks for all the info ladies!

I took my jewelry to mine.  It allowed me and everyone else in the fitting room to realize that the necklace I bought would have been too much with the earings and my dress...which had so much going on.  You want to get an idea of how everything will look.

I didn't even think about taking the jewelry I'll wear. Unfortunately I don't have the pieces with me because they're my something old and something borrowed, so they're in my hometown 3 hours away. Maybe I'll pick them up when I go home for Mother's day.

That's a good idea.  I did not think of it either.  It was the sales person at Swarovski Crystal who mentioned it since I only had 15 days to make a return.  Thank God for her.   Sometimes when I look at wedding pictures I always say less is more elegant!

PS I am so happy everything worked out for you.

Ditto the shoe and undergarment thing.  I just went in to get a bustle and to get the top part taken in.  Well, when I tried the dress on with my bra I realized the only thing I needed was a bustle.  But I have to go back there tomorrow because I didn't bring my shoes.  I didn't think I would need to worry about my shoes for the bustle but you do because they have to see how much to take up in the back and you need to have your wedding day shoes on to determine that.  Otherwise they can lift up too much or not enough.  So, bring your shoes and your undergarments!

So I guess I need to take my reception shoes to the appointment too, so they know how much to bustle it. My ceremony shoes are 4 inches, but my reception shoes will be significantly shorter.
