Draft DIY STD's- any advice?

Hi ladies- hope everyone is having a lovely hump day! I just finished my first mockup of our STD's (a lil sloppy, but that why it's a draft!) and was hoping someone might have a second to take a peek and let me know what they think (font layout wording feel etc.). Our wedding will be 50/60's casual  outdoors with lawn games.

The two round things are stickers right now but the FI thought we should make one a sticker & the other a magnet, I just haven't got around to trying that yet... Thank ahead of time for helping me out!

Those are cute.  I just finished mine today and had them printed.  I actually thought I could do them for less money then having them done by pros.  HA!  The pro is I got exactly what I wanted, the con it cost the same, but was a lot of head ache.  Once I got everything perfect on my computer, I took it to the printers whoes programs were completely different than what I was using so it changed my fonts and moved some things around.  I ended up having to go behind the counter and fix it all my self. lol

I think they're cute, but I don't like the magnet idea - I wouldn't use it, to be honest, and it will make the paper lopsided because of the weight.

The other thing I would change is the wording for "weekend long celebration."  If I received that, I would think I was being invited to everything you normally associate with weddings, including the rehearsal dinner, and possibly a brunch the day after.  You don't want to do that to yourself until you're closer in and know for sure it's going to be ok budget-wise.  Plus, plenty of people don't like for weddings to last an entire weekend - it's really just about one day, and that's plenty for many.

[/QUOTE]</div><div>I was thinking of maybe alternating which side the magnet is on for each STD, but ya, that doesn't fix the fact that, like you pointed out, the individual STD's would still be lopsided. I'm not really sure what I think about that yet- I've gotten lopsided greeting/birthday cards before (like the embellished or scrapped ones) and never really thought anything about it. Are you saying it would look/feel sloppy if you received one?</div><div>

Our wedding is destiantion for everyone that will receive these, and with us living 4+ hours away from any major airport it would be silly for someone to spend all that money for just one day, although if they want to more power to em! So yes, we are doing a weekend of events, most of which are not wedding related, and most of which we are budgeting for. Bbq Welcome dinner for all at a baseball game is planned now instead of rehersal dinner, maybe rafting and a picnic for the day after. I want people to not have to spend alot of $$ when they get here becuase it costs so much to even travel here, plus I don't want to go crazy trying to spend quality time with everyone doing/seeing different things. We plan on making it clear on both our website & actual invites that all the events are optional. Does that change your opinion or no?</div><div>

While ours is not destination to us, it is to over 75% of our guests who are the only ppl receiving STDs- who are flying 5hrs from the south to San Fran, then driving another 4+ north almost to Oregon. I guess my thought was that if I was in their situation I would expect (or at least hope) more than just a wedding and dinner after spending all that time & $...
