Tattoo cover for my wedding? - PIP

I have a tattoo on my right shoulder (four leaf clovers with flowers) that I've had for 20 years.....FI have been dating for almost 5, so he knew about it before we got engaged. He is wanting me to cover it for our wedding. I am thinking of wearing a bolero for the ceremony (the wedding is in November) and removing it for the reception. What do you guys of think this? How does it look with the dress?

  • Would you consider using a makeup kit to cover it? I know David's Bridal sells one.

Do you want to cover it? I'm getting the impression that you don't ...

Your tattoo is part of your body, and your body rocks in that dress.  Don't cover it unless you don't want it anymore, and if you don't want it anymore, get it lasered off!

  • I would prefer NOT to cover it - like casyme said, it'spart of me. Plus, I don't want make-up rubbing and smearing off on everything and everyone. And thanks for the compliment on the dress! I just keep looking at the pictures because it hasn't come in yet!!
  • How important is it that you cover it? Is your fiance adamant that it gets covered or has he just made a little comment?

I have one on my left shoulder that says "live, love, laugh" (had it for about 8 years) and tbh I think it looks great with my dress - and i think yours does too!

  • I'm wearing a bolero because I hate my arms but FI is not a huge tattoo fan and it happens to cover the tiny one on my upper arm and bigger one on my back..so it's a win win. If I was rocking some guns I'd let my tattoos show.
