Today my "new" aunt is starting radiation therapy for esouphagus cancer. She went to the doctor two weeks ago because she was having a hard time swallowing and found out she has this. She has 33 treatements this first round. They will be M-F. She is a strong woman and I know she will do great.
I've only known her for like 2 years now. I was really looking forward to getting to know her. I hope that I still have the chance.
I also just got off the phone with FI. His sister, who is 30 weeks pregnant today, was in a car accident this morning. We don't know any details b/c when FSIL spoke to FMIL on the phone she was too hysterical. We do know she said her stomach hurt. She was on the way to the hospital with the last update.
I really hope she and the baby are okay.
