makeup???

hey, i am not sure what to do about makeup. i can do my own but i dont like spending a lot of money on expensive makeup. i am wondering if i should invest in good MAC makeup before the wedding but i think that would be a lot of money, or if i should hire a makeover artist. I live in the st. louis area... any suggestiosn

Re: makeup???

  • There are cheaper options like getting your makeup done at a department store or Sephora.

I agree with PP that if you aren't a huge makeup wearer, then don't spend the money to buy it.
  • You could try buying travel or sample sizes, most brands have them and it will save you alot of money
  • I agree that if you'll actually use it, go ahead and buy it.  Otherwise pay a make up artist.  If you buy your own, I'd recommend buying the MAC Studio Fix (?) spray.  My make up artist used it on me, and it was phenomenal.  If you're buying MAC, they should give you a free consultation and give you good tips on how to apply it for the day.  I've done one of their technique classes before and it was great, so maybe ask about those at your local mac counter.  They charged a fee for it, but it was redeemable against purchase.
  • I  had my makeup done by MAC for a wedding.  They do the makeup for free but  you have to commit to buying $50 worth of products.
