Gifts for Shower Hosts?

Im writing this on here because I know you all are actual current brides and not already-married-for-10-year wives that have nothing to do but get on here and be rude to everyone with their answers (that sounded bitter, huh? haha)

ANYWAYS... I know we're all going through the shower stage right now and I was wondering if its custom to give the hosts a gift? I have two showers this weekend. If so, whats a good gift to give that wont break my wallet in two?

    hahaha this is an excellent description of some of the women on other boards! Cracked me up!

    I personally didn't give a hostess gift cause all my bridesmaids threw my shower but I have heard of other people giving them. Maybe you could do a bottle of wine (if you know they drink it) or something small like a picuture frame but you definitely don't have to give something if you decide not to. I sent really nice thank you cards after my shower and the girls seemed to appreciate it enough.

    I gave gifts at bothof my showers. For my Fi's side his cousins from out of town came in and threw the shower, so I got them their favorite candy from our town. Nothing huge!
    For my shower I had 12 hostesses so I made aprons for them all and homemade cookies to go with them as well.
    Neither were crazy but just a little thank you!!

    I had 2 showers...for the one my FI's side threw I gave them nice tablecloths. For my side of the fam I gave them nice candles. Have fun!

    My mom, aunt and sister threw my shower. I went to Bed Bath and Beyond and bought them each a hot pink Tervis tumbler with their inital on it. I stuffed it with hot pink tissue paper and filled it with candy. They loved it!

    Oh I LOVE the tervis Idea...I might have to do that. My MOH is hosting the shower and my one BM is hosting the bachelorette party....they both could use those (FI secretly wants one so I might do that as a cute part of his wedding day gift lol)
