So, I read the posts here every day but I've never had much to post about... I got engaged in January and most of the planning was done by March (I love planning large events). Since then, we've just been working on slowly paying everything off. But! This weekend I actually spent some quality time on wedding things and I had to come here to share!
We had a cake tasting on Saturday. We actualy decided not to go with the place, but it was a fun experience. I also got FI to voice an opinion about how he didn't like the cake (at first he was all "it's fine-whatever you want," but I could tell he didn't like it). I think we've decided on the other place where we went to a free tasting 6 months ago. But it's nice to be more comfortable with that decision and we want to try it again to be sure that we're on the same page now that we are closer to our event.
Then mom and I went to David's Bridal and she bought her MOB dress. It looks nice on her and she's happy with it. Also, my favorite consutant helped us and it was a lovely visit. I've decided that she is on the top of my list to get a thank you card following the wedding (probably with a picture of the bridal party and a gift card).
Also on Saturday, we went to the mall and FI and I bought a christmas ornament for our collection (we add one each year). We chose an engagement ring in a blue box and had it personalized with our names and the date we got engaged.
Then yesterday I booked and paid for the hair and make up for my bridal party, which I am super excited for. And I received a call back from a local ballroom dance studio and I discussed with the instructor her prices and times. I think FI and I will be taking 3 lessons in February and March so that we're comfortable for our first dance.
Lastly, I was at Macy's today and found a really cute hot pink clutch with silver beading for $8! I don't know if I'll use it for the wedding or Bachelorette party or what... but now I have the option!
I can't believe it's only 5 months away! I can't wait!
