Hi all!
Huge check - finally done our invites! All 100 of them - after many many grueling hours of piecing together these bad boys they're finally ready to go out. I'm unsure on when to send them, probably at the end of March for our June wedding - only because our hotel block asked us to have our guests book by the end of April for the group rate, so I want to give them enough time.
The wording on our invites is a little different. My fiance and I have a 5 year old daughter so I painstakingly scoured the internet for invitation wording to include her. We're paying for almost all of our wedding so I didn't have to worry about including my parents or his mom or dad & step mom so that was easy.
Let me know what you think of the wording! I've tried to incorporate her in to our ceremony and reception as much as we can. It's different when you get married and you already have an established family, living together, put yourselves through school through all of this, so it this wedding will be, for lack of a better term, the icing on the cake for us. And our daughter is just as, if not more, excited than we are for us to get married. It's all she talks about...
Have any of you been to, or heard of, couples incorporating their children in to their ceremony, invitations, anything wedding related?
(Not sure if you will be able to read the actual wording but here it is:
Through marriage we are given
the gift of a new beginning
a new family and a new life
We, Jessica .... and
William ...
along with our daughter
Jordan Elizabeth....
Invite you to witness our beautiful beginnings on
Saturday the eighteenth of June, two thousand eleven
at five o’clock in the evening
