Hypothetical Question

Two knotties are getting married on the same day. 

Who gets to say "ITS MY DAY!!!"

Is there a pecking order?  Does the first one who books get to declare it HER DAY, and the rest have to settle for it just being a nice day?   Or is there some battle to the death that results in the winner being able to call it "MY SPECIAL DAY" - special being added, of course, because of the battle she had to go through to get it?

As a long-time lurker and relatively new poster, I just want to know in case I encounter someone else who is getting married on June 6.  I do not want to breach snark etiquette.

    Usually this matter is settled with a KY Jelly fight in a kiddy pool.

    I'm happy to report that you can claim it as your day, because it is not May 31, but since I officially own May 31, of every year beginning in 2008, that day will always and forever be Betrothed's day.

    And betrothed, I'm disgusted with most of the comments that you have posted. I don't think I've ever read such judgmental comments in my life. I'm so lucky that the girls I speak to on theknot are nothing like you...I would've never come on here for ADVICE if I would've encountered a big a bitch as you. I genuinely feel awful for your children or your future children, and I think it would be irresponsible of YOU not to invest in their future therapy sessions starting now.     Im not trying to be date-grabby, I just want to be mentally prepared.  Im also getting married on a Sunday, so it lessens the chances of having to share.  You gals getting married on Saturdays in June should really start limbering up.

    Jme, I hear a trick is to hide razor blades in between your toes if you need to make up for a blunt beak.  Don't get all Sunday wedding grabby though, cuz then I'd have to cut you and we would be mortal enemies :)

    There were other Knotties getting married on the same day as me (01/01/10). But I live very close to the Pine Barrens. Crisis averted.


    ETA: Kiki, 5/16 is DH's birthday. I'm not saying I have to take you out. But I am saying watch your back.

    Why would you get married on my birthday? Are you trying to make this day less about me and ALL about you? Just because I'm not engaged doesn't mean I don't have feelings and days that are important to me. Why can't you just give me this one day? That's all I want. One day. MY day!
