Has anyone been to Kings Mills in Media?

If you've ever been to or had an affair at Kings Mills in Media, please let me know what DJ you (or whoever was having the affair) used.  It seems that some of the bigger companies, like Silver Sound, won't go there because the owner is too hands-on or something.  I also know they require the DJ to use their sound equipment which may be part of the issue.  Music is super important, and I want to make sure I end up with someone great!

I was at wedding at Kings Mills last July 4th.  The wedding was amazing and the DJ who my friend used really kept the party going.  I'm not exactly sure who she used, but can find out for you.  I know she was really pleased with how everything went from start to finish.  GL!!

We're getting married there next Oct & we're using John Scibello. He is one of their recommended vendors so there's a bit of a price break & I found good reviews. We're having our ceremony there as well & he's doing that music at no extra cost.

My coworker was married there in October- it was gorgeous. She used John Scibello as well. He was my old neighbor when I lived out there, and from personal experience, he is a great dj. Not overbearing, very reasonably priced, and awesome at what he does. I would recommend him 100%.

  • Silver Sound does not work at Kings Mills becaues they rent the sound system serparte from the DJ and charge a great deal of money for their equipment.  They are not interested in sending a DJ out without renting the system and all of the upgrates that they require.  As per the sound systems at Kings Mills, you will find that they are superior to even the most expensive options at the larger dj companies, because each ballroom has a built in club sound system with remote controlled lighting effects.  We have premium wireless microphones, 3 premium CD/MP3 Players, top end speakers and professional grade amplifiers.  The mixing board is a 16 channel studio sound board and the system is designed with substantial head room, so even when turned up to higher volumes or all the way up, there is no distortion in the sound.  We also have a back up system in each room in the event there would be a problem with any of the equipment we can swiitch systems in five minutes or less.  That being said the systems have never suffered a failure as they are updated constanly and incredibly well maintained.  Kings Mills also features a full service back up generator that runs everything including heat and air!  Please feel free to read actual reviews posted by brides and grooms who had their weddings here on wedding wire and city search.  I would love to schedule you for a tour and conasultation and I would be delighted to meet with you and discuss your wedding and or reception.

    Sincerely,

    Thomas King
