Daily Checks Thread

So I saw some other people posted checks but knew we talked about doing a daily checks thread so I'm starting one with mine

Today we got the tuxes done! They will be wearing two button jacks (black) and FI will wear the vest in ivory while the groomsmen are fuschia and ushers sage (wish it were a little brighter green but not a huge deal)

Do you guys think 1 usher for around 100 guests is ok or should there be 2? I'm stumped on who to ask for a second bc we were gonna ask a guy friend of ours but my best friend and BM decided she doesn't wanna date him and now it's awkward.

FI also got sized for his wedding band and we'll order that soon. He's getting this from Zales:

It was kind of awkward because it's titanium so super tough and the lady was like what do you do for career? FI said Army. She told him "Pick another ring" FI was like no I want that ring. He explained he was getting out and she was like because if your hand was to be smashed you'd lose that finger. She's completely wrong about the metal though. Titanium is tough. FI has two titanium rods in his leg. So kinda awkward but kinda funny.

Anyways glad to have that done

Yay for those checks! Love those vests.

Today I got the invites printed, along w/the RSVP cards. I still need to get directions printed, but am thinking I may just use vista print to get those.

Thanks! I really wanted FI to wear ivory. He really liked the sage one but he was like I'm not going to have you hold it over my head for the next "110 years" I'll wear ivory hahaha<div>

Actually the fact that it is so tough is why it is dangerous for men who use their hands a lot for work because if he were to injure his hand and it were to swell up it would be very difficult to cut the ring off. That's why she said he would lose his finger.

Congrats on the checks! I was hoping that we would start having one thread for the checks.

Checks (these include yesterdays as well):

-Just got home from my food tasting. Now to talk with FI about the different options because he wasn't able to go because of work.
-Worked on escort cards (see pic on FB page).
-Cut all 100 of the flowers needed for the escort cards
-Half way done the card box.
-Called and talked with the lady who will be doing our alterations.
-Bought the pens needed to start addressing the invitations.

Since I didn't really do anything today or yesterday I'll count my checks as Thursday/Friday checks since I haven't posted about those. On Friday my mom and I went to my aunt's house and my MOH (cousin) came over too so we got quite a bit done.

- Card box (trumpet case) is lined with blue fabric. Just have to cut out the letters and attach them to the ribbon.

- Cut out all of the circles and ribbons to attach to the favor jars. They are doubling as our escort cards (we are doing a candy buffet but guests get jars instead of bags).

- Figured out we will put rock candy in the bottom of the jar that matches up with our venues color coding for meal choice.

- Got all of the shower invites ready to be mailed. My aunt just had to copy and cut the directions and she will mail them out.

- Also found another cheaper, closer hotel to block rooms so FI's parents are going to take a ride on Friday to check it out.

- Scheduled my hair and makeup trial for 3/17.

- We are currently looking into some pizza places to possibly do our RD as the restaurant we were going to have it at is pretty expensive, especially because FI's stepdad just lost his job and they are paying.

It's been a productive week for us....feeling good about it!

My weekly checks - they are all really small or like half checks

But it feels like i'm getting there:

- got envelope color samples in, chose 2 colors for envelopes (clicky & clicky)

- bought and tested out silver pens for envelopes

- contacted salon about appointments, waiting to hear back from 1 last BM before booking... that will be a big relief

- my mom got quotes for rental chairs for the ceremony, just need to choose 1 & book it asap.

My checks for the day were deciding on my Bridal Shower dress, I finally found my silver shoes for my honeymoon formal dresses, and I finished putting the centerpieces for the shower together. I got black boxes and decorated them with ribbon. Inside I will have lavendar white chocolate roses made to make them look like flower pots.

-Went to a bridal expo. I consider that a check, because it was something I wanted to do at any rate.

-"Completed" our registry at BB&B. It's in quotes because FI wants to add a ton more stuff on. We only stopped after 3 hours in the store because I was tired and hungry. Apparently, wishlist shopping is one of his favorite things.

-Cake topper came in the mail. It's so cute! I love it!

When we went to BB&B to do our registry we stopped because we were also tired. The next day at work I added more stuff online. I guess walking around I was so tired that I couldn't think of anything else. It is helpful that you can always add to your registry at any point.

Actually, we had every single ring vendor tell us the same thing. FI is in the Army and was suggested to not pick anything out except for Tungsten. (Which is what he wanted anyway so it worked out) We went to different stores (even in different states!) and they all told us the same thing about the finger and the band.

I went to a bridal expo this past Saturday with FI which was nice. I started talking to a videographer which we don't have yet and started to look at wedding cake toppers which is proving to be very difficult.

Last Tuesday we booked our flight to Ireland as well as 1 of the 3 hotels that we are staying in.
