Hi Ladies! I had a great wedding day and everything went very smoothly. I used the vendor reviews alot on this forum so I hope I can help some future brides.
Ceremony/Reception - Doubletree Columbus/Worthington: A+
I had an excellent experience working with the Catering Sales Manager, Britt. She responded within an hour or two to every email and phone message. I had my ceremony in the lovely courtyard and there was no additional charge. The morning of the wedding some things weren't set up accurately but once they were pointed out, the staff fixed them immediately. We were offerred a very reasonable price on the food and bar package. The wait and bar staff during the reception were very corteous.
Dress - Wendy's (Dublin): D
I actually found my dress at Wendy's but drove to Uniquely Your's in Circleville to purchase it for almost half of the price. Wendy's wanted me to order a size much larger than I measured. I think they wanted me to get a bigger size to guarantee alterations.
Tuxedo's - Men's Warehouse: D
5 out of the 6 guys who ordered tuxes were measured incorrectly and had to wait 30 minutes for alterations or had to return to the store the next day for a different size. My husband's jacket sleeve were way too short even after the second jacket they gave him. The plus side is my husband receives a free tux up to $400.
Team DJ: A
Rob was a great DJ- very friendly and was always working. The little downside was we were running behind on the schedule I had given him for the dinner hour, etc. and I didn't know we were running behind since I wasn't wearing a watch. I wish he had approached me about it since some family members left before the cake cutting and dancing had started.
Invitations - Etsy Appleberry Ink: A
Teresa was a pleasure to work with and the invitations turned out great. I received them earlier than promised which was a great surprise.
Flowers - Flowerman: A
Yes, the communication was a little slow with the Flowerman, but at the consultations Melissa was very knowledgeable and gave great recommendations. I absolutely loved how my flowers turned out!!! They are still blooming several days later. Melissa walked us through each section step-by-step and they were very easy to make. We all had a blast making them and I was able to change little details right then and there. I'm glad I was able to see my flowers before the big day.
Cupcakes - Short North Piece of Cake: A-
Brian was easy to work with and prompt with returning emails. The price per cupcake was very reasonable for the cake/filling/icing and garnish we requested. They tasted and looked great! The little downside was some of the cupcakes had alot of filling and others barely had any, which we pointed out during the sample tasting and he assured us it would be fixed.
Gahanna Polo Tan (Spray Tan): C+
My spray tan turned out great but my sister had splotchy orange marks on her hands and feet for at least two weeks afterwards. She went back to show the owner but the owner didn't offer any suggestions on how on how to correct it.
Craft Supplies - Michael's: A
After comparing Hobby Lobby and Joann Fabrics, I found Michael's had the best selection and prices for what I was looking for. Plus Michael's allows you to use their coupon and a competitor's coupon in the same transaction. I returned some things I didn't use and there was no hassle returning them.
Rehearsal Dinner food - City Barbeque: A
Great food and the order was ready on time. They were very easy to work with.
