My last pre-wedding question

So our coordinator is not included in the service fees charged by the venue. If we tip her 20% of our final bill, it's more than we can afford, and more than I feel comfortable giving someone. I mean, I think she's done a great job, but we're talking way more than we spent on bridal party gifts total if we give 20%. I was thinking of putting a few hundred dollar bills in her thank you note. Is this okay?

Edit: She is employed by the venue and is most likely salaried.

    I think thats very generous!  We did somewhere a little less than that and thought it was ok (I forget the amount, DH took care of it cause I forgot that day...oops!).  Though when are you sending the card?  You may want to ask someone to give her the tip the same day?

    I wasn't even thinking of tipping the coordinator. So I am not help here. But I think that would be more than enough. I am sure she gets some type of compensation from the fees....

    I was going to give it to the front desk the morning of the wedding. My mom has to go to the ATM anyway tomorrow, so I figured I can drop it off with the front desk with a few other things when we go to breakfast on Saturday. I just really can't justify giving a stranger (basically!) a few thousand dollars when I barely give my sisters $50 gifts for their birthdays, you know!?
