Travel Agents? Honeymoon?

Hey Ladies! Happy Monday! Long story short-my fiancee and I are trying to plan our honeymoon after getting blown off a few times by a "friend" of ours who is a travel agent. Does anyone recommend any good travel agents? We are clueless as to where we want to go-somewhere warm (June wedding) that we can do beach, sightseeing and activities (we are thinking St. Lucia). Where are you all going and do you recommend going there? All suggestions are helpful! TIA!!

Re: Travel Agents? Honeymoon?

  • We went to St. Lucia for our HM and got back a couple weeks ago.  We stayed at the Sandals Grande resort.  It was amazing!!  I definitely recommend staying there. We did a land and sea tour and snorkeling.  The beach in St. Lucia is gorgeous.  Our travel agent Mary took care of everything for us.

    Contact her at:
    Mary Schultz
    Klingerman Travel, Inc.
    11 Bank Street
    New London CT 06320
    860-443-2855

If you dont live near New London its no problem.  She will mail you all the travel booklets.  She is super nice and so helpful!

    Good luck!!

  • We are actually going to St Lucia as well and staying at the Sandals Grande (two weeks from today we will just be getting there!!)  We actually didn't use a travel agent, we just booked off of their website.

I recommend you look at different resorts using tripadvisor.com - they rank resorts, provide lots of reviews and have user photos so you can see what the resort actually looks like (instead of the super fancy resort photos).

We used CheapCaribbean.com to book our trip (flight and resort)- they have a $50 discount if you sign up for their emails. They have discounts all the time, too. We were also checking prices on Applevacations.com, bookit.com and the resot's websites.
  • Thank you all so much!!! Will definitely look into these options!
