Would you chose this registry?

Hello,

Was brainstorming and found this online

So my question to you guys is... would you chose Costco as a gift registry place?

    I wouldn't choose Costco because I don't have a Costco card.

    Edited for clarity.

Ummm, no, I wouldn't have a registry at any warehouse store like that, for one thing if you're not a member can you still purchase gifts for the couple?
  • Did you find that online or make the survey and then post it here?

That was what I was trying to rephrase in my post, but failed. I don't have a card... I know my family doesn't have a card... most of my friends don't.
And you need a card to purchase anything from there. I'm assuming that rule applies for registries, too.
I don't really see a club like Costco as being a smart option, unless you have a very small wedding guest list and you know for a fact everyone there has a card.

  • I would love to be able to register for even a few things at Costco.  Their prices beat BB &B and Macy's hands down - even with their sales and coupons.   And enough of my family and friends have memberships that it would be worth it.

It depends on whether your fam/friends have cards.  Also keep in mind that costco is pretty seasonal with a lot of things, so their stuff goes out of stock quickly. Some things (like their kirkland brand items) they keep around, but other things come and go.

  • No. Not everyone has a club card. Plus everything you can get there you can get elsewhere, where you dont need a membership to shop.

There's some good stuff at Costco, but there's just no way this will work for all the reasons cited above.

  • Thank you for your responses... Yea for the sole purpose of item's cycling through stock, a registry at costco wouldnt work lol. Unless you want toilet paper and paper towels on your registry, most items change frequently.
