Browning Amphitheater

I was just wondering if anyone has gotten married there.  As I am getting closer to getting married, I am kind of freaking out about what to do.  Did you have musicians??  Anything else up on the stage??  How did you walk in??  Any information or advice would be so wonderful.  Thanks :)

    We are getting married there too!!! Our wedding is 7-9-11.

    So, I haven't really gotten into too many details. We are currently debating between having everyone sit on the amphitheater section with just us on stage, or getting chairs and putting them on the stage and have us stand at the very back of the stage where it raises up a little in the back. 

    If we do option 1, we will likely have our ceremony musicians (not sure who yet) on the stage (probably in the area that raises up a little in the back), have me walk down the side, and then up the steps to FI. We may or may not have some flowers to designate the spot.

    If we do option 2, we will likely still have the ceremony musicians on stage somewhere, have an aisle in the center, then I will walk to one side and go up the steps and walk back toward the center. If we do that, there likely will be no flowers to designate the area, just us.

    In case you want to see a visual of the area (cuz I sometimes forget what its like) or if you just want to admire such a perfect spot, here's a pic. Smile

    We are getting married there as well! I swear it's Columbus' best kept secret.

    We ARE doing musicians. I don't see how you can't. I have contacted many groups and Micetro seems to be the best deal. 3 instruments for $425 I believe, I would have to look it up.

    We are walking from opposite sides of the amphitheather and meeting in the middle. Our bridesmaids and groomsmans will walk separately as well.

    Super excited there are other brides on here getting married there! Our wedding is October 22nd 2011. Interested to hear your ideas!

    I am planning on getting married at Browning as well this summer.  Do you know how to go about reserving it?

    Start by calling the Service Desk at the Ohio State University Office of Scheduling. The number is 614-292-6158.  They should at least be able to put you into contact with the correct person.

    This is the one thing FI took complete control over, so that is all I know!  HTH.
