Cabo.....loved Melia Cabo Real! I esp loved it because it's on one of the Very few swimmable beaches in Cabo. They also have an awesome swim up bar! Never been to Riviera Maya but was looking to go on vacation there next year. Got a price of $1005 for 5 nights including flights for the Grand Riviera Princess. My sister is on her honeymoon now at the Excellance Resort in Play Marj (not sure of spelling) and she said that resort is the best one she has ever been too. She goes to Cancun every year and stays at different places. The Excellance is a few minutes from Cancun. I hope this helps a bit.

We did aventura spa palace in the Mayan. It was great! Palace resort chains also offer a bonus of $1500 resort credits to use at the spa or certain excursions - our guests lived this! We did ruins tours, swimming with dolphins, ziplining and spent a lot at the spa. The chain also offers unlimited private events with that amount of people booked, just google palace resorts. Btw my resort changed names to hard rock riviera maya two months ago (a few weeks after our wedding) we had a great time at the resort!

My FI and I stated the the Gran Bahia Principe Resort in the Riveria Maya. Very large resort, and stunning beach. All inclusive meals are great, and out of all the trips to Mexico we have gone one... this is by far our favorite to date.
Good luck on your search :)

    Welcome and congratulations!!

Make sure you look into the requirements if you plan to have a legal ceremony in Mexico.  I chose Jamaica and we had to be sure to be there at least 3 full days prior to the wedding date in order for the marriage to be legally recognized world wide.

Let us know what resort you decide on!

I live in Cozumel, across water from Riviera Maya. There are many choices, depending on your budget. If you would like, I can give you some easy tips, answer questions about the resorts and location, etc. Happy to help! This area is very safe, close to Cancun and Playa, so lots of things to do, getting around is very inexpensive, and would be a great option for your guests. Plus Cancun airport usually has great airfare specials... Let me know if I can help.<img src="http://cdn.cl9.vanillaforums.com/downloaded/ver1.0/content/scripts/tinymce/plugins/emotions/images/smiley-cool.gif" border="0" alt="Cool" title="Cool" />
