Wedding Ceremony & Reception Music Discussions

Where should the song go?

Our wedding is WAY small and informal. There'll be probably about 20 guests, and it's taking place on the beach. We're not having a reception, but after the wedding, we'll be treating the guests to a local restaurant where we'll eat and cut/eat cake.

As far as music goes, I'm walking down the aisle to the first part of "our song", but that's really the only music thing we've got going. However, I really want to incorporate his favorite song for us as a surprise, but I'm not sure WHEN to play it, since we're not really doing music or a first dance or anything.

Should we perhaps do a first dance at the restaurant? I'd almost feel silly doing that, but I really don't know where else to put the song. What are your thoughts?

Maybe you can play it when you cut the cake? Or ask the restaurant to play it as a special request for the bridal couple?

Have it played right when you're pronounced man and wife. Or whatever signifies the end of the ceremony, like when you kiss.

I'm sure the restaurant will dim the lights or something when the cake comes out - just ask them to dim their music too and stick on your CD, im sure it will make your FI really happy :)

    Good Luck
