off location wedding photos.- need HELP!!!

I am getting married in just under 3 weeks. I am big into photos where as my  fiance is not. Our wedding is taking place in more of a business district and there is no big nice places to take pictures. Inside the venue is not the nicest for photos. There is one or two nice area on the side of our building with a small gazebo, a bench, some small trees and a waterfall. I have no problem doing our family pictures there, but I don't want to do the bridal party pictures or bride and groom pictures there.

I do have on reservation a photo permit for a park that is located 15 minutes from the venue. The permit only costs 100 for 2 hours which I am more than willing to pay. This issue is that we need to get the bridal party to the park too which would require us to rent a limo. I have found the cheapest 10 seater for $300 for 3 hours (which is all we would need). although that is a deacent price the cost of the going to the park would be 450 for the 2 hours of pictures. If by any chance it rains that day the 450 would be down the drain cause we wouldn't go.

My Fiance really doesn't want to go offsite but is willing to do it for me since he doesn't want me to not be happy with the photos. He also doesn't want to bring in the wedding party (only 6 people) earlier than needed and then stand around half a day.

I need to decide what to do in the next 2 days. Any suggestions on what to do???

and just an FYI - all photos are to be done before the wedding ceremony.

From a photographers perspective...I would keep the shoot at the location, save your money and your time and keep the stress level down.  A pro photographer can and does make use of all types of backgrounds.  What you see in the background isn't necessarily what your going to get in the photo.  I have friends who have shot in abandond burnt out buildings and you should see the finished product...they get amazing light!  Just get a pro photographer who knows what they are doing!

Is there at least some natural light around the wedding reception site? If you trust your photographer they will create the best image for you. Set up an appointment with your photographer to look at the location and also the park area and brainstorm ideas. This way you both will know if going off side is really necessary or not. Amazing urban pictures can be taken on a sidewalk! Best of luck!
