raw photo: pricing

does anyone have an idea of pricing/packages from Raw Photo Design?  I'm not even sure if they'll have my wedding date open but I'd like an idea of what they charge before I try and set up a consultation (if they aren't already booked for my wedding date)

Re: raw photo: pricing

  • edited February 2012
When I contacted them awhile back their base package was $4900 for 2 photographers, all day coverage and the rights to the photos.
But obviously that may have changed since then.

  • I believe they actually lowered their price to around $3500
  • wow if that's the case I really hope they are available for my wedding!!
  • FYI, the $3,500 is for Joanne to shoot your wedding and then the two main photographers (Amanda and --- I forget his name ---) do the editing.
  • If Raw isn't available, check out Kiva of Annandale Photography (http://www.annandalephotography.com/) and Eric Brushett (http://www.ericbrushett.com/). They both have similar styles to Raw.

Photography is one of my favorite parts of wedding planning. I hope you find someone/team you really like!
  • Got word from RAW.  They still have my wedding date open, yippee!  The pricing they sent me is as follows

$3200+ for an associate to shoot the wedding

$4900 for 2 photographers the entire wedding day, dvd with rights to printing and online password protected photo gallery.

$5900 for 2 photographers the entire day, dvd with rights to printing, online password proteted photo gallery, engagement session, RAW photobooth at your wedding, 10x10 engagement album or guestbook.

I'm not sure if we'd be able to customize either of those packages but I think I would like to do the second one but have them remove the engagement session to see if it lowers the cost (FI is really not into the idea of engagement photos).
  • Corkey450: do you know if Eric uses more than 1 photographer?
  • I looked into RAW and though i loved their look FI and I both felt that $5k was a bit much. We managed to find two amazing photographers for about $3k.  All rights, retouching, album, CD, and a minimum of 700 pics included.

We found 2 great photographers in Time Frozen Photography. Their work is very high end and Keith and his wife are great, here is a wedding clip:

And right in the same building there is Visual Obsession!  Piotr and Konrad are great and also super talented:  http://visual-obsession.com/

We ended up chosing Keith and his wife for our wedding since FI got along so well with him (they are all globe trotters).

Both groups also have really great E-pic prices.  One place i went to wanted over $1000 for e-pics with the assosciate photog!  Ours were only $250 and came out amazing.  We got all the rights, and both high and low res pictures so we can print them or post them online. They were great since we could work with the photogs and become comfortable with them. Bonus they helped FI and I how to figure out our best angles and how to photograph well/naturally with each other. Now we are not as nervous about our wedding pics.

Sorry about the ramble but i hope this helps
