  • It is interesting. To be honest I wonder now if we'll change after the wedding. We've been living together for so many years and we don't intend to merge anything we don't already have together. That's why I'm wondering where the shock and awe factor come in; is it true that being married really changes things that much?

  • We've been living together for three and a half years, and I see things could easily change, but we've discussed it. Finances aren't combined now but they will be, so we've already set up a budget and we are 100% on the same page and happy with it. We fit the traditional household roles so that's not an issue. I see other people being the issue - bugging us about having kids. They do now but my excuse is 'we're not married yet', when really we just don't want them yet. We do want to be married for a little while first. We plan to start trying next year, but family doesn't understand that we don't want them yesterday. I foresee that being an issue.. but we communicate really, really well and make sure we're always on the same page.
