Jillian Michaels Ripped in 30 Days Workout

Hey ladies!

I have been reading a lot about different work out videos throughout the posts that the Jillian Michaels are good workout videos with great results. The only thing is that I have asthma and some workout videos are super intense. I've had asthma all my life and know how to control it but I know if a video is too intense I'm not going to want to put myself through that everyday. So I am wondering just how intense this video is before I buy it or what other work out videos you would compare it to!

    I'm not sure about that specific one, but I have asthma too and rarely have a problem with her 30 Day Shred.  If I feel my lungs stressing, it's pretty easy to tone it back or just bounce in place for a minute or two until I'm in control again. 
  • it's as intense as you make it. Some days I push much harder (depending on how I feel). The good thing is you can always slow down and go at your own pace.
    There's 3 min of strength (usually not too cardio intense), 2 min of cardio (very doable - and again you can slow it down if you're having a hard time) then 1 min of abs. You do this 3 times with a warm up before and cool down after.
    Video is about $10 so I think it's worth it. Her videos have been my saving grace getting in shape!

  • Her videos are awesome!  I haven't done this particular one but she usually has examples of people do low --> high impact versions of a workout so you can really tailor it to what you are comfortable with!
  • I have Ripped in 30 and asthma and I've been able to get through weeks 1 and 2 without difficulty.  The cardio portions are intense but really short.  Just go at a lower intensity if you need to,
  • The 30DS isn't too bad....it's mostly what you make of it....it can be hard or not.  I've never had a problem.  Her Killer Buns and Thighs one has even less cardio, if you're wanting to work your lower body well.
