Experience at The Pennsylvanian?

Hi everyone! I'm getting ready to sign a contract with The Pennsylvanian. I was wondering if anyone here has experience with them (either past or currently planning). Any cons I should know about?

Thanks!

I attended a wedding there!  There were 2 things that I would consider "cons" but the rest of it was great!  I thought the acoustics were pretty lousy both outside for cocktail hour and inside.  My friend had hired a string trio for the cocktail hour, which was outside under the awning, but you couldn't hear them at all. It was a nice idea, but I felt like it ended up being such a waste as you could only hear them if you stood right in front of them.  And then inside, you couldn't make out much of the speaches inside during dinner.  The music and band were fine though.  And they are very, very strict about the time limit for using the space.  I remember the cooridinator practically shoving us out the door at the end of the night and yelling at everyone to be quiet as residents had either complained or would compliane.  Otherwise, the food (Rayna's) was great and we had a blast.

My FI and I almost booked our reception at the Pennsylvanian. Beautiful place, but I second Tara in that the acoustics are horrible. Most of the reviews I read had the same thing. In the end we ended up at the Carnegie Music Hall as it was just more suited to our needs (wedding coordinator, all rentals included, ended up being cheaper, etc). It is a wonderful space that you can do a lot with though, and Rayna is really easy to work with (we did contact her about pricing before we made any decisions).
