Validation Attire

Hi Everyone!
Me and my husband will be having our marriage validated by the Catholic Church in August. I'm wondering what we should wear. We're not doing anything big, just a couple of family and friends. Should I just wear a sun dress? Should my husband be in a suit? I want to be properly formal, but I don't want it to seem like I'm recreating our wedding.
Thanks,
Helen

Re: Validation Attire

  • I think you could wear pretty much whatever you want, within reason.  I think some people do treat the convalidation as a wedding.

<div>For Catholics, a convalidation IS a wedding. You can do whatever you want.</div>
  • you can wear whatever attire is appropriate for church.
  • Thanks everyone! This helps.
