A baby elephant lives above me. NWR

He's 3.  He shakes the lights when he runs.  We missed the deadline for giving notice to move, so we're stuck in this apartment a bit longer.

Who's here?  What are y'all up to tonight?

Haha throw peanuts and put a mouse up there!  I have had that experience before.  I am cooking spaghetti as I type, just waiting on water to boil for noodles.

The baby elephant is a minor torture.  I'll live.

Been there before too Mary... luckily they moved a few months after we moved in, so I didn't have to deal with them long. Don't you just love apartment living.

I'm waiting for Jason to get home, he went up to his work so one of his friends can do some work on his truck, since he's still not really up to doing it yet with his wrist, then hopefully dinner soon!

The baby elephant could be much worse, that is for sure.

Yeah, they moved in a couple months after we did, so we've got at least until Fall with the little guy.

The people in that apartment have twice managed to have something leak up there enough that it came through our ceiling, once pulling the overhead light in our kitchen with it.  That's more annoying than the elephant.

I need to get up and cook something but I'm not motivated.  FI's messing with a computer someone gave him, but it doesn't have a monitor so he's got it hooked up to the TV.

    Holly, how's his recovery going?
  • edited December 2011
Smart idea hooking it to the TV... I wouldn't have thought about that.

His recovery is going good... he starts PT this week, and is hoping to get to go back to work in two weeks... but we'll see.. He has good range of motion, but no strength in that hand anymore.

I love Wendy's new fries.  Especially dipped in vanilla frosty.  mmmmmm.

They have new fries??? I didn't like their fries to begin with.  FI's reading a book.. I'm on here and watching an old NCIS

I didn't know about the new fries either?  We don't usually eat a lot of fast food, so we haven't been to Wendy's in a long time!  Might have to check out the new fries, though!

Good LORD I'm sooo tired and hungry. . didn't eat before going out and now I'm craving taco bell crunch wrap, but we JUST went to the store so I have no excuse to not make something here. . .butttttt I REALLY want the stupid thing, so DH is now heading out the door to go get me one (he's so sweet)

I agree with putting a mouse with the elephant!!
Oh and I've heard about the new fries, but when we stopped at Wendy's on the way to busch gardens this past weekend, they were all out . . boooo

I used to live with an elephant above me as well.  But rather than a 3-year old it was a 19-year old college girl!

Hahahaha a baby elephant arrived.  Awesome.

At least it was squeaking and not moaning.  A guy I knew in school found out his girlfriend was cheating on him because he recognized "her noises" coming from his neighbor's apartment.

We have the squeaky bed problem, too. But at least no baby elephants. Their room is right above ours too, and they do it at the most inconvienet times - like 2 am in the morning on a weeknight. Or really early in the morning (like 6am). We have to cover our head with pillows and just curse sometimes.

Now that we have a puppy maybe the crying & monkey noises he makes is payback.
