FI annoys the hell outta me sometimes

Oh I am SO with you ladies on that one.

My vent is that FI hasn't wanted to even go talk to the caterer we think we want to use because we don't have any money for a deposit. I don't think the deposit is going to be very expensive because it's a freaking grocery store! So then last night he was working on his homework and after he got done somehow he found the website of the catering program at the college he goes to and he started talking about it. I absolutely couldn't believe it and got excited...until I saw the prices. They're not way higher than the grocery store we were probably going to go with but there was enough of a difference that I knew we couldn't afford it with the way the guest list is right now. So I asked him why he was looking at it when it was out of our price range and he just shrugged his shoulders and said "Well they provide the linens and if we hadn't already bought the linens we could use them." Um, we haven't bought linens. I told him that and all he said was "Oh" and KEPT LOOKING! WTH. I'm the kind of person that if I know it's out of my price range I don't even want to look. It was so frustrating because I tried to get the discussion back to the grocery store and he didn't want to talk about them, he just wanted to talk about the menu on the catering program's website.

Confession: I spent WAY more on my veil than I probably should have. I wanted something that would look like it matched the embroidery on the dress FMIL is making but since the embroidery was very specific (Celtic knotwork) I was having a very hard time. I had looked at custom veils but they were all so expensive so when I saw a vendor on Etsy who did custom embroidery work for around $200 I started asking her about the design I wanted. She said she could do it and we started working together on it. After the design was finalized I found out that she usually charges more for what we had agreed on but because I'd been specific about what I could spend and she made the mistake of not specifying how much she typically charges she honored my budget amount. Well I found out two nights ago that I got the veil for 1/3 of what she would normally charge. I feel REALLY guilty on one hand (1) that I spent so much and (2) that she's having to eat 2/3 of the cost of her work (which is GORGEOUS in pictures) but on the other hand I'm secretly rejoicing about my great deal, which makes me feel even more guilty, LOL. It's a vicious circle LOL.

Confession: I've been sneaking around at work printing my invitations. I can get away with murder here, or I wouldn't even dare. My boss came in today and wanted to look at them. I told her I printed them at home and brought them in to assemble them in the conference room after work (which I honestly have been doing off the clock.) She said, "Just print them on the big printer. It will be a lot faster." I'm sure she knows I'm full of $hit and have been printing them here all along. lol

Vent: I really need a camera phone. Yes, I know that no one calls them that anymore. I'm so tired of people telling me to just take a picture of something. Also, people seem to have stopped responding to phone calls, only to texts, which I don't have either. FI and I are both supposed to get American phones on the same plan when he moves here in April. I don't want to wait anymore. I really can't afford it yet, though.

Confession: I have total vacation brain right now and have all week. I have a slow week this week. Then next week I have only our weekly staffing on Monday, nothing all day Tuesday then Wednesday is our winter luncheon followed by the start of my vacation time for FI's cousin's wedding. I'm so over work I've been completely absorbed in TK and FB nonstop for the last three days and forsee that being how I spend the remainder of my time until next Wednesday. I can only imagine how unproductive I'll be this close to my own wedding.

Sopra, I asked if I could run my invitations through my agency's postage machine and my office manager was all like "I don't give a sh!t. go for it." So I got excited that I might get free postage curtesy of my work. Then our secratry was all like "oh, someone got fired for that once. I'd not do it". If someone hadn't already been busted in the past for it I totally would have done it. Damn other people ruining it for me, haha.

Confession: I've been nagging FI about being more frugal for the wedding, but I've eaten out for lunch 4 times in the last week. Whoops. (FI and I live in different states due to where he's stationed)

Vent: I think professors sometimes think my world revolves around their class only-- not the other five classes I'm taking nor that thing I try to have... I think it's called a life. I'm so overwhelmed that I'm about to give up completely.
