Hello Ladies-

So, we have our venue (Castleton) our DJ (Drew from GDTE) and our Photographer (NHimages) for our October 2011 wedding.  Whats next?  How soon did everyone book their cake and flowers?  These are the next two "biggies" on our list.

Thoughts?  Also, where is everyone going for cake/flowers?

    I believe we booked our DJ, Photog, Cake, Videographer and Florist from June-September in 09, and our wedding is this October. Ordered BM's dresses in January, Limo in March, Mothers dresses and FG dresses in March/April.

    We're using Creative Gardens out of Lee for the flowers and Wild Orchid Baking Company out of North Hampton for our cake.

    I'm getting married next June. I booked the florist last January (I think). We booked Lyndsey Loring Designs out of Dover, she will deliver all over. http://www.lyndseyloringdesign.com/

    I'll be making an appointment for the cake this week. We probably be using Jacques pastries out of Suncook, NH. http://www.jacquespastries.com/

    I would book as soon as you can just to have a variety of options.  I am having my reception at Castleton on Oct. 2.  I can't wait.

    We are getting out cake from Jacques and flowers from A Vintage Rose in Methuen MA.

    We have the same DJ as you, (Drew from Get Down Tonight), for our 9/3/11 wedding--he's charming...and a fellow student at SNHU!.

    We have booked the venue, photographer, ceremony musician, DJ, Boston Uplights, but no flowers or cake yet.  We'll probably use Jacques for the cake though and a florist closer to our venue in Jaffrey.  Because the wedding is during Labor Day weekend, and near Keene State College, we booked a block of hotel rooms over a year in advance.  We have also booked a school bus to shuttle guests to our venue.

    Are you having a seperate ceremony venue?  Also you may want to look into finding an officiant as well.  Cake and flowers you could do soon as well as October is becoming more and more popular of a wedding month. We used Jacques Pasties for cake and Lyndsey Loring for flowers and LOVED them both!

    We did our cake and flowers pretty much right away. Once you get those big items out of the way there's a huge chunk of time where you can't do anything but wait ... Happy planning and good luck!
