Mmmmmm, I seriously love that I live in Pgh, among other reasons, because of the cookie table.  When I go to weddings not in Pgh, I get a little pissed that there aren't cookies...well, not pissed, I just feel like I'm missing something.  But I don't like cake, so that's probably why.

    Anyway cookies:

    Oreo cookie balls
Peanut butter cookies (just made with peanut butter, butter and sugar)
    Buckeyes
    Maybe something a little fruity

Other than those listed, my FMIL makes the most amazing cookies! They are a butter cookie (or something - not entirely sure) with raspberry jam filling... they look similar to this:

You guys would hate my wedding lol- no cookies since we (and 95% of our guests) are not from Pgh. I've actually never been to a wedding with cookies.

I don't really like cookies, but I do like some with fruit in them. I agree it would be a good addition to the cookie table. The raspberry ones sound really yummy.

My mom made red velvet whoopie pie cookies and they went SUPER quickly.  She also made little turtles (nuts, caramel, and chocolate, not sure how she made them exactly) and they went really quickly too.  My dad also made some chocolate cookies with some kind of chipotle spice in there, not too spicy, just a little kick, and they were awesome.

I know they're not traditional but those were my favorites at our wedding.

The only item I will not compromise on...my bouquet of all purple tulips wrapped in a swatch from my Mom's wedding dress.

JL, I'll have to see if they still have them-- I think my mom got the recipes out of a Martha Stewart magazine or something.

I'm getting married in Ohio, but I AM having a cookie table.  Wouldn't have it any other way!  My BFF is getting married in Pittsburgh and I'm contributing cut-out hearts that are sugar cookies but dipped in pink chocolate on one half to go with her wedding colors.
