I joined the knot a couple of days after getting engaged, and I've been trolling the boards for a week or so. Thought I'd introduce myself!! 

I got engaged april 17th, and couldn't be happier. 

We are JUST starting to plan some things...and truth be told, it's overwhelming!! We don't know where to start!! We're thinking of getting married sometime next year in the summer so we can save up some money...but other than that, no clue what to do next! hahah

Is it like this for everyone??

    Congratulations, I agree with Edie.  You don't want to look back on your engagement as a stressful time.  Enjoy some of it and don't think about planning right away.  There is no reason to rush through things.

    Congrats! It can be overwhelming at times starting the planning, but try to relax. TK forums has a lot of very handy info to help you along, so def take the time to use it. :)
