T&P's

hey ladies
I really need some good thoughts and prayers. I'm in the ER because I have minimal movement on the left side of my face. Please pray for get better vibes. I'm pretty upset and could use all the T&P's possible.

I'm still in the ER they think its Bells Palsey and are doing blood work, they aren't sure if I was bitten by a tick while riding or if I was exposed to something while in KY. Thanks for the T&P's I'm still really upset/embarrassed and thankfully FI is here with me. I just want to be back to normal...Cry

The good news is that it has very good recovery (if that is what it is) if diagnosed within the first few days of onset. Are you able to close your eye on the affected side?

They discharged me with Bell's Palsey, and gave me an antibotic and a steriode. I can close my left eye pretty much all the way for the most part - like its completely shut but I know it isn't really completely shut. He said most people it goes away in 2-4 weeks but can last up to 6 weeks. I'm just glad I have answers, kwim?

Thanks for the t&p's everyone. If I could get fast recovery prayers I'd really appreciate it! I feel so ugly with this going on.. and FI's command christmas party is the 15th - we go to KY on the 16th and VA on the 22nd. I just hope and pray its better by then!!

You girls are so sweet, seriously I love you all.
I took my first dosage last night, and then again today. I've got 8 more days of it. Now I'm not hoping for a miracle, but I really hope it fixes it fast. I've got a bit of twitching going on under my left eye - so I'm secretly thinking its working. LOL.

The only thing that got me through my ER trip yesterday was FI's House references.. he kept telling me well, 'House puts everyone on steriods and antibotics, so if those don't work - well you've got lupus' :) We love house.
