kind of WR : mothers day

I am debating whether to surprise my mom on mother's day weekend and show up at her door step or spend it with my FI becuase it is our last weekend together before we get married. My mom lives far from where we live so I would have to spend the whole weekend. Also my mom paid and help for our whole wedding, we didn't pay a single dime. So I am thinking the last thing I can do for her is to be there for mother's day. But then I feel bad not spending with FI. He told me to go see my mom but I feel bad leaving him on our last weekend. Any advice? Thanks.

go see your mother!

You'll have plenty more weekends with your Fi when he's your husband. In light of everything your mom did.... I would definately go see her. Plus, you'll probably feel guilty all weekend for not going. I know I would.

We're getting married the 12th and the only thing my Mom asked for was to have all 3 of her girls home for lunch on Mother's day. My sis lives in Dallas and is only home once a year if that. So it's the first Mother's day Mom hasn't had to work and can have all of us together in years. So yes, i'm going to spend the 1st day of my honeymoon with my Mommy. LOL The FI is perfectly fine with it cause he loves her too.

Mom trumps here I think, as pp said your getting married, you will get to so FI for a million more weekends, give your mom one.

Um, yea, go see your mom. You have the rest of your life to spend the weekend with your fiance including the whole week before the wedding. Mom wins.

Go see your mom! I agree with PPs, you will have every weekend for the rest of your life to spend with FI (well, husband!) but make this Mother's Day a special one for her.

Go see your mom! You'll have plenty of weekends/time with your hubby-to-be. Since your mom is paying, I think it would be nice to spend the time with her. I'm getting married on the 12th, so I will already see my mom. But if I were in your situation, I'd go.

Go see your mom! I understand being sad about leaving future hubby but he clearly understands the situation. You definitely need to spend some time with her and thank her! Like PP said, you will have many many many weekends with him to come
