What is a good way to get in shape fast?

I need some advice on diets or excerises to do to lose weight and get in better shape and tone my body up? any help?

  • P90X all the way!! I had amazing results, had a supportive community, and it came with a meal plan, so it was so easy. All you have to do is eat what is in the meal planner and press play every day. I highly recommend it! Let me know if you have any questions.
  • Running. Running is one of the fastest ways to burn calories. 100 calories per mile, and don't do it on a treadmill, because it's not the same, no matter what the machine tells you about how many calories you are burning. The belt is assisting you. :)

    Run for 5 minutes, walk for 5 minutes, run for 5 minutes, walk for 5 minutes. Repeat until you've done it for 40 minutes to an hour, and do it EVERY DAY. Gradually decrease the time you're walking and increase the running intervals. When you get home, do girl pushups and tricep dips. 2-3 sets of 10 each. During your pushups and while you're running, hold your tummy in and use good posture.

    Watch your portions, cut our soda and other beverage calories, eat more protein/veggies and less carbs/pasta/potatoes/rice/cereals. Drink water. In a month, you'll be in shape. :)

    (3:30 marathoner, lost 30 lbs since September. 154lbs down to 124lbs. However, I run ~50-60 miles a week.)

  • Great advice Pippa...i've cut out soda and I already feel lighter...drinking LOTS of water and gonig to Zumba classes as much as possible...need to start running but finding the time is hard with two boys and I'm not a morning person LOL
  • Yeah, my dad always said that the only time you can guarantee tht you will have to yourself is the morning.

    Which is why... I spent my childhood up to when i left for college getting up at 5am to work out. But I have a hard time now... I'm lucky, I have no distractions, so I can do it whenever, morning, evening. But I recognize, when kids come along, it will be back to 5am again. :)

    Ive gotta agree with this! Ive gotten behind on tuning and haven't been doing it much but when I was I stayed thin. Anyone can do it.. just start slow. :
