Dinner selection cards?

Hi.
I'm looking for an easy way or ideas on how to remind guests what entree they chose?  Since it's a plated menu, the wait staff will need to be told what they "ordered."  I figure people will forget what they indicated on their RSVPs and that the total I've given to resort won't match up with people's memories.  We have a rustic, lodge themed wedding.
Any thoughts of ideas are appreciated  Thanks!

Re: Dinner selection cards?

  • My sister added a certain color dot to the seating cards. So if you are not doing a seating chart I would still print out each name card and depending on what they ordered, put a certain color dot and tell your venue what color is for what.

Agreed, using place cards with different colors is a very easy way. Economical too. YOu can do a different color card for each entree, or some detail like the dot above mentioned.

  • I've been to many weddings this past summer(it seems to go in waves with my FH college friends) and the ones with plated dinners added something to the name card. The last wedding I went to had our name cards in envelopes with a little piece of paper with our main entrees on them. That way we remembered what we ordered(with RSVPing to 7 weddings and most being only a couple weeks apart, I forgot which weddings had plated dinners and which would be buffet) and if my FH wanted the chicken vs the beef we made that decision PRIOR to them bringing out the food.

  • Thank you all so much.  I guess I didn't think about doing place cards with that designated on there.  That sound be a much easier fix than what I was thinking of doing.  I appreciate the input.
