  • I signed my maiden name....I applied for it with my maiden name. And since I havent legally changed my name yet, I don't think it would be legal for me to have signed with my married name.

  • We signed our marriage license when we applied for it, so I signed my maiden name. I don't think you can sign any legal document with your married name until you have legally changed it.

  • Maiden.  Once the marriage occurs and the license gets certified, then you use it to change your name (at least in my state).

According to this website (which has generally been accurate), in SC, you sign your license when you apply for it (or pick it up the next day). If you have questions, you could always call your county clerk's office.  The contact information is at the bottom of the page.
  • On the actual license it doesn't have a place for us to sign. When we applied I signed my maiden name and will use the certified copy once we are married to change my name.
