Ceremony-only Venue Needed

Hi Ladies-

I am getting married in November of 2011, yes THIS year and I still do not have a ceremony location!  Eeek!  My primary problems are that I need to "neutral" location for my fiance to get married since it is an interfaith wedding and his family feels strongly opposed to a church.  At this point, I am distraught because not only can I not find anything that I like- but I also didn't want to go this route in the first place!  I am looking for something relatively close to the Conshohocken area because that is where my reception is being held.  I would like something visually appealing and I just haven't been able to find ANYTHING! Yell Does anyone have any suggestions?  Maybe a random castle I haven't heard of, an arboretum with an indoor location, a place that will be able to accomodate 220.  (I know, I know- I'm swimming against the current here....)   Arcadia University (a castle in Montco) is unable to hold an event during the school year, Curtis Arboretum is too small for my number, and Morris Arboretum still hasn't returned my call yet.

    It's not extremely close to Conshohocken, but if you're desperate, the Valley Forge Chapel is neutral and would work. It's beautiful, and not inexpensive.   Ursinus College also has a chapel, but you might have to be an alum.  I don't know who is performing your ceremony, but would they have suggestions?  Because they do a lot of nondenominational ceremonies, maybe the people at Journeys of the Heart would know some places.

    The only place I can think of is Bryn Mawr College - they have beautiful gardens if you're interested in an outdoor ceremony. They use their band room as a back up for indoor ceremonies. Good luck!

     park with a pavillion would be pretty, especiallly if it has a great view. There is usually a nominal fee from the county that you would find out from each specific park's information. Fairmount park, perhaps? The Wissahickon Gorge is part of Fairmount. There's also Pastorus Park, Morris Arboritum, Creshium valley... You could also look around at the colleges/ schools in the area and see what a fee would be to be married there. ( the lutheran seminary, LaSalle, Chestnut Hill, Philadelphia, St. Josephs... ) There's also the Sedgwick Theater, Cliveden, Alden Park Manor, Barron House, Concord School House, Ebenezer Maxwell House, Gilbert Stuart Studio, Green Tree Tavern (Germantown), Loudoun Mansion, The Connie Mack House, Vernon Park.

    Just throwing them out there. I suggested them for another bride a few posts down. :)
