I've been to a couple at private homes, which doesn't help you at all. Where are you having your reception? Would they let you have it outside?

What about Naga-waukee Park? They have some really pretty areas.  Camp Whitcomb-Mason is a gorgeous setting and is just in Hartland/Merton, so that wouldn't be too far away. Could you do it on the grounds at St. John's? I know they let you rent the chapel but don't know about the grounds.

Hopefully this helps! Let me know if you need more ideas - I grew up there.

Naga-waukee park is fabulous! I've shot there many times. Maybe try ten chimneys. I do not know what their policy is for weddings, but the grounds are stunning.

THANX FOR THE IDEAS.the problem with the park is that it is a county park so we would have to pay for parking for every car that comes and we can only set up at their picnic areas. camp whitcomb  mason is booked. we r looking for somewhere that has a body of water. pond, river, lake and trees. let me know if u think of nay other suggestions. i

Look into the Seven Seas restaurant in Hartland. It's not the far out of Delafield and I was there for a ceremony once. It was held outside the restaurant in a little pavilion looking over the lake. It was really neat! The couple that got married there didn't actually have the reception there (pretty pricey reception venue), but the ceremony was outside and it was lovely! Also, theirs was in September. :)

just the ceremony you are looking for? If you are looking for an area by a body of water, I can't think of any area that would have something less than $750 with such a tight time frame. You are probably going to have to do a public park on that budget. Try Retzer Nature Center, Ten Chimneys (Genesee Depot, not sure what they charge for ceremonies) Lapham Peak, Delafield Fish Hatchery. I'll do some more thinking, but this is what I have off the top of my head

What about one of the Oconomowoc parks? How many people are you having?

One of the parks in downtown Oconomowoc has a bandshell, as does Nixon Park in Hartland. Both of those are on water. Have you looked at those yet?

We had originally looked into Lapham Peak. It is only $100 to rent the little building by the pond and you can set up wherever you want for the ceremony. Yes you have to pay for each car but they cut you a deal depending on how many cars you have. We figured it to be like only 100 for 20 cars give or take. Which is still really good since your only paying 100 for the park for the whole day! and there are several ways you can set up the ceremony. Only thing is no djs/large speakers. so you would have to have your own small source of music or live players. Hope you work it all out!
