Are you doing wedding favors?

We weren't planning on it, but now I am second guessing that decision and I have NO IDEA what to even consider. Any suggestions or thoughts? Is a waste of time or a must have. GRRRRRR!

We didn't do favors, and we definitely don't regret it. It's a lot of wasted time and money, IMO. No one missed them!

I'm like you, I wasn't planning on it but now I was thinking maybe we should. I just don't know what to do for them and what wouldn't be exensive for around 130 guests.

We *weren't* going to do favors, but my mother saw this "great deal" online, and she ordered them (and paid for them.)  Luckily, they are items that, if not everyone takes one, WE can use them ourselves.

They're candles poured into miniature glass wine glasses in a decorative box.

You can always use candles! :)

I think you are fine without them.  We went to a wedding Saturday that had mini honey jars for favors and we didn't even take them.

We were not going to have any, but when we decided to do a sparkler exit we got some personalized match boxes to light the sparklers.  Kind of a favor & they were not expensive.

I plan to have bubbles (for the send off). But I don't plan on having favors. I have been back and forth. I thought about spreading some candy on the tables but I think that will be the most I do. I generally eat candy if its on the table (like chocolate) but I don't take stuff home with me. So I may just get some little candies with our names printed on the label (or make them myself with some stickers).

Our candles don't have any print on the glasses, etc. (didn't get them customized) so if we didn't give them all away - no worries! :)

We did a candy buffet as our favors and it was the hit of the night.  People were digging in during cocktail hour and taking bags full of candy with them as they left.  I would totally recommend it!

I was just at Michael's this past weekend and they had all of their favor bags 50% off, so I bought some.  Now I just have to figure out what I'm gonna put in them.  Definitely something edible, probably candy.  The way I look at it, you can't go wrong with edible favors.

We did little cookie cutters that were personalized from oriental trading company. They were pretty cheap and my now husband and i love cookies and cooking together so it was a cute idea to us and they were a hit at our wedding, didn't have any left over. Here's the website, oriental trading has great deals and good customer service!

Nope. We're donating to a chartity instead! Money better spent!

Yes! We're having a garden themed wedding, and I've figured out how to make my own seeded paper to cut into whatever shapes I want, and I'm making cookies in the shape of little brides and grooms. The home depot across the street is selling mini flower pots we can use as containers, and I'll wind up making my own labels. Total materials cost: $80 for enough for 100 guests.

My Fi thinks I am a budgeting wizard. :)

We're doing a photobooth for the favors.  I don't think favors are necessary though.
