Anyone mind sharing how much they paid for engagment photos? My FI and I are are trying to figure out a buget.

Ours came free with our wedding package..the package was 2500 for 8 hours of photography on wedding day - 2 photographers and 100+ for travel.

If possible I recommend going this route...find a photographer whose wedding packages include engagement shoots, this will not only save you money but it will help you build a comfortability around the photographers helping your wedding day be more relaxed.

Engagement photos can range anywhere from 250-600 depending on the photographer and your location (big city vs. small town).

You can also get a price break sometimes, by booking the engagement and wedding sessions as one package. This can vary though from photographer to photographer.

My package didn't include the engagement shoot, but we're adding it on for $175. That includes the shoot and a CD of all the images for us to print.

$2,800 for 10 hours during the wedding day, an album, a 16 x 20 print, an engagement session.

We got a great deal at $950 for all day. The engagement shoot is $125, which will be deducted from the $950. We get the rights to high-resolution images, on a disk or thumb drive. The rights and tangible transfer of the images means there's sales tax on the $950.

Our photographer is new to our area, which is no doubt why his rates are so low. [He's also a straight-forward German, not your typical buddy-buddy wedding vendor.] We got our engagement pictures last week on a thumb drive and were surprised with free prints (171 engagement pictures, about 20 prints), too.
