Gratuities for venue employees

Hi everyone.
Getting married in 12 days in Santa Monica and realized that we're not really sure what is the appropriate/customary amount for gratuities for servers at venue.
Any suggestions?

    For us we didn't tip the servers at our venue because we had already prepaid the 20% for services.

    We had a 20% gratuity added when we negotiated the cost with our venue (it should be the same as a restaurant meal, so 20% on the cost of food and drink is good), and then we gave out a little extra in cash to the servers, bartenders and valet attendents the day-of.
