DJ Skoot Scott Thompson

I have already been married, but my best friend is getting married 12/12/2010.. And she is looking for a very inexpensive DJ like under 1,000 for reception and Ceremony. I used Jay from LIquid Entertainment, and he is higher so I wanted to help her but I haven't really heard anything about other DJ's and there is so many.
Has anyone ever heard of DJ Skoot, his name is Scott Thompson? Or any ideas on great DJ's for under 1,000 for ceremony and reception.

    I may be wrong but I'm pretty sure that after the knottie dicsount that Jay Edwards is 950 for 5 hours.  DUring the cocktail hour, he'd probably have to move all of his equipment to the reception room anyway. if she needs six hours  if I were her, I'd just pick him and not have music during the cocktail hour.

    We're using Scott for our wedding on 12/11!  We really clicked with him when we met.  He has a great personality, and is very laid back.  Also he added in some free lighting, too.  And we like the self service part of his website where you can select songs, edit your timeline, etc.
