So we recently booked Decorative Sound as our DJ... and then friends tell me that certain DJs in that group are not so good but others are great! the owner Mike said he is probably going to have this guy named Nick DJ our wedding since he graduated from Lake with a ton of my guests, i have no idea who he is, and when i told my friend wo was going to be our DJ she made the worst looking face and then told me i should ask for someone else because this Nick guy is obnoxious..... im completely nervous now that we are going to get some terrible DJ that is going to be a goof all night long... has anyone had any bad experiences with this group?

    I dont know him. Although I do know who mike is and my question to him would be Why would you put someone who knows alot of the guests? I mean you dont want your DJ socializing the whole time trying to catch up on "old times" right? I would ask for another dj. You could always tell him you prefer a DJ that doesnt know a lot of the guests so they wont be tempted to "bug" hime while he is working? Hope that helps

    I agree w/PP, I don't think I would want my DJ to know a lot of the guests so he would focus on the job and not socializing.  Can you ask for a particular DJ?  If so, maybe some girls on this board who have used that company can recommend someone.  I've heard so often that a good DJ makes the event so its something you should fight for.

    I heard Decorative Sound to be one of the best djs in this area, but I also heard the owner "knows" it!!! Good Luck and like the others have said I would ask to have someone else dj your wedding...After all it is YOUR wedding not social hour for your dj!!!

    Paul with the Entertainment Network just did my wedding!  He is fabulous and really took the time to understand what we wanted, we had a blast and all night long everyone said they loved the music!  I highly recommend Paul!  419.535.1330
