What type of STD have you done or will be doing?

Im curious. I want to definitely do something different and unique. The idea I came up with was awesome, but overall, its going to cost like $120 and I really don't want to shell out that kind of money for 2 dozen STDs.

Here is what we're doing (as of now):

  • I used 123 Print to do mine, they are postcards. I ordered 100 of them and I think it cost me about $40.

  • I like it!

We got a groupon for Vistaprint for $17 ($70 value). We haven't ordered anything yet, but we are planning on doing small magnets. I'm considering using a blank template & doing our own design. Someone had forwarded me a website where this could be done very easily.

  • We got groupons also and will be picking something from Vista print.  The invites will end up matching also.

  • We'll be doing postcards, likely these from zazzle since we're both chemists:  http://www.zazzle.com/cute_chemistry_save_the_date_postcard-239354165335897928

They're a little more than I'd like (about 75 at $1 each), but the printing on both sides is nice and it fits us. I'm still going to look around a little and see if I can get something similar a little cheaper.

  • I did magnets from magnetstreet.com and found a 10% off discount code just from searching. I love my STD's and I was really happy with their service.

Beer STDs?! That would definitely be the coolest STD I've ever seen. Maybe it's b/c I like beer, but I'm all about it. Just curious, did you think of brewed beer as favors instead?

<div>RSWANS, you're a chemist?! You will probably love this, then...found this seating chart the other day and now I wish I hadn't stumbled upon it, because now I NEED ITTTTT. (I am not a chemist--my degree is in math and bio but as a science nerd, I loved these!)</div><div><img src="http://img1.etsystatic.com/000/0/5579394/il_570xN.205627721.jpg" alt="printable periodic table seating chart" width="570" /></div><div>

  • We did post cards through Mpix.com.  We were able to customize our design quite a bit and use a few of our engagement shots.  They turned out really nice and were about $.65 each.  Lower quantities may be a bit more, we ordered 200 of them.

Thought about it. I just know that I wanted to do something unique for the STDs and I felt adding the touch with the beer thing would kind of kill two birds with one stone. Back to the drawing board for me - its just going to be too expensive for me.
