Federal Ballroom?

Anyone have any pricing info on the federal ballroom?  I have requested it weeks ago but haven't received anything.  Looking at some venues this weekend, but the federal ballroom is only available M-F.  I don't want to discount it if prices are good, but I'm worried if I don't get to see it this weekend it will be superceded by any venues I CAN see.  Anyone have more info?

Thanks!

I can't remember what the rental fee is, but their catering prices start at $40/person including open bar, wedding cake and groom's cake.  I'm not sure you can get a better deal in town.

It was a little small for my wedding, but would comfortably fit 150-200.

I didn't actually get a chance to look at the space, but my mom commented that it was weird that you get spaces on two separate floors.  Also the columns in the ballroom will obstruct a lot of pictures.

Other than that, I think it is a beautiful space for a wonderful price.
  • This is the quote that I was sent. Pretty sure that doesn't include the fees for the dance floor etc. Kinda pricey for us.

I feel your pain on people not writing back..having lots of trouble with that.

    100 guests for 3 hours $11,612.00

    100 guests for 4 hours $11,868.00

    125 guests for 3 hours $12,480.00

    125 guests for 4 hours $13,247.51
  • I just looked back at my emails and here is the pricing including the rental fee:

    250 guests for 3 hours $15,961.50
    250 guests for 4 hours $17,735.00

It's obviously cheaper if you have more guests.

I'm guessing that most of those costs are fixed rental fees.  They also charge a $500 ceremony fee.

    As many mentioned above:

catering starts at $40 / head.

Rental for the space itself is $4,000
Dance floor rental is ~500 (depends on the size of the floor you rent)
    Security (required) is 375

I don't know about the two floor things.... the main space is upstairs, but their is a foyer downstairs? The space *holds* up to 400 people, but I think it more comfortably would fit 250ish. I didnt find the columns to chop up the room at all, I thought they were very elegant and one of my favorite parts of the space.... but to each her own.

    Hope this helps!

Actually, I finally got a hold of her and it does include everything except centerpieces and entertainment.  It even includes tax and gratuity....annoying actually cause I was trying to narrow my list, but now I'm going to have to see it! :)

  • Hello Knotties!!! OP they also require a $5000 deposit.
  • For any of you who have used this venue, I know there is security and you can't just come and go as you please. How easy is it for smokers to go out and come back in? Can they use stairs?
