where are you staying for your wedding night?

We are looking at a nice room in one of the bed and breakfasts in Manteo like White Doe Inn or something. Does anyone have any ideas or suggstions or recommendations of a place they enjoyed staying the night after their wedding?? thanks!!! :)

I highly recommend The Cameron House Inn, which is in Manteo, 1 block down from 108 Budleigh.  I have stayed there before and just fell in love with it!  They even have a honeymoon suite that is separate from the main house so you have lots and lots of privacy.

We actually rented our own home for the week of the wedding.  Since we aren't taking our HM until late-Jan, this will be our "mini-moon" and besides, it will be a nice relief from 4 families coming together at once.  Not that I don't adore our families, but we all need a break from time to time if ya know what I mean :)

We were initially thinking about staying the night at one of the bigger rooms at First Colony Inn.  Now we have settled on staying in the master BR of one of the houses we are renting.  This is the house that our parents ARE NOT staying in.  Our parents will be in a house across the beach road.  also, there are no other bedrooms on the top floor ;o)

We plan to stay in the house with the rest of my family!!! We have the master bedroom all week(only bdrm on top floor)!
It's not in our budget to get a room for the night, as nice as that would be ;)

THIS.  And, we have a lifetime together.  I want to spend quality time with our families that week.  You never know how long you will have them here.  Then we'll honeymoon in Bora Bora later.

We did this also.  We wanted to spend the time with our families that week.  We honeymooned in Hawaii a few weeks later though :)

I suggest the Burruss House Inn.  It's GORGEOUS!  I've never stayed there but did go check it out when we looking for a place to say the night before the wedding.  We're gonna drive to Raleigh after the reception and stay at a hotel that night so we can get up and catch a 9:30 flight to Key Largo.

We stayed at the Inn on Pamlico Sound in Buxton(on Hatteras).  Nice room and very quiet.  Spent the rest of the week at the rental house with family.

We had the best of both worlds - our reception was at Twiddy's Rendezvous, which has a carriage house on the property, so we stayed in there.  Still on the property but also some privacy - perfect!
