Oh No!

Hello ladies,

My husband and I were married on the 25th. It was a beautiful day and we were really able to relax and enjoy everything!

The one regret I have is that even though we spent the entire reception visiting with our guests, we only got to 7 out of 11 tables. We didn't have a receiving line, so we didn't even get to say hello to some of our guests. An out of town family friend told one of my family members that he was insulted by this and wondered why he was even invited. We feel terrible, but had many out of town/international guests and wanted to make our rounds somewhat meaningful instead of rushing from table to table. Aside from trying to write a really thoughtful thank-you note, is there anything else we can do to show our appreciation to these guests that we didn't get to greet?

    Don't stress it.  It happens all the time.  People who came to your wedding were there to witness you both committing to each other.  That's why your guests where invited.  To be witness to you.  While it's nice if you can get a chance to visit with everyone, weddings are crazy, and you shouldn't feel guilty if the day gets away from you. Writing a nice thoughtful thankyou note is always appreciated.

    This is exactly why I am having a receiving line....the fact that you had so many OOT guests, greeting every one of them should have been a priority. Honestly there isn't much you can do about it now, so I would send a very nice thank you note and apologize for not being able to speak with them at the wedding but letting them know that their presence was very much appreciated.

    Honestly- I don't think there is ANYTHING you can do now other than make a list of everyone you weren't able to see and mention it in their thank yous and tell them it meant so much to have them there. Honestly- it's in the past now but this is really important to guests. 

    To lurking brides: Say hello to EVERY guests. People know these visits will be fast but they are a MUST. You absolutely cannot ignore any guests because just like the poster here found- people get insulted! We had about 160 guests and still got to every table. Yes it's exhausting and yes its a lot of work but you have to.
