Bachelor Party secret???

I saw the best man yesterday and asked out of curiosity what he had planned for the bachelor party. He said he COULDN'T tell me but that FI knew.

Is this common that it's kept secret from the bride?

I'm sure he's just playing around. I think sometimes the idea of the secret is worse than the actual secret.

Wow, thats weird.... I would think he could atleast give you a GENERAL idea... like "We are going to THIS city" and then leave out all the little details you probably don't want to know about anyway...

I know what my FI and his friends are doing for the bach party. Have you asked your FI what they're doing, or just the BM? Maybe the BM was reluctant to tell you because he didn't know if your FI would want you to know what they were doing. Ask your FI. If he's secretive about it too, then I might wonder what's up. You don't need to know all the details, but it would be good to know the general plan if they're staying local or spending the night somewhere else. My FI is going to Atlantic City, playing golf, going out for dinner, gambling, and I'm sure going to a strip club. They're spending the night. This is all I need to know.

That's weird. I've heard of the groom not knowing where he's being taken, but I've never heard of keeping it from the bride. I mean, you don't want/need all of the details, but I don't see how it helps their cause to make it sound like it is something you can't know about.

While I'm sure it's the typical gogo bar thing, he's an adult and is free to do as he pleases. The whole I can't tell you makes me wonder if it's something he knows I wouldn't approve of. The only things I asked FI were that there were no private dances in back rooms and no hired strippers in some hotel or someone's house.

but my cousin went to a Bach Party in a hotel room, where a stripper came and the groomsmen bought the groom a BJ!!!!!!!

They told me about FI's I had to get on them about planning it bc the BM was SO unorganized about it. He should tell you.

HOWEVER, is the Bachelorette Party a secret- I tried to talk about doing a night out and my BM's said it's taken care of. I'm flattered but I would love to know it was happeining before it happened.

I gave suggestions for the bachelorette party but not sure what has been/will be ultimately decided on.

I asked FI and he said that nothing had been planned yet. That they were still trying to figure things out. The BM didn't act like he was joking so I don't know. It just makes me wonder if they are doing something he knows I wouldn't be comfortable with.
